This stop is the country crooner’s paradise, Nashville, TN! Nashville is known as Music City not only because it is home to the Country Music Hall of Fame, but because you can find live music pretty much anywhere you go! The city is known for its decadent eats. Whether you’re diving tastebud first into a place of southern comfort food or your stomach rumbles lead you to more high end dishes and provisions, Nashville has some serious eats for you. Let’s get started on our perfect day in Nashville!
If you have every once described yourself as a coffee connoisseur, wake up with Barista Parlor. Conveniently located in multiple locations within the city, you can be sure to get a good start to your day. Sure, you can stick to your tried and true latte, but why not treat yourself to some of the many exotic flavors they so carefully curate into their coffee. Lavender, orange, or mint, anyone?
Brunch it Up
Perhaps you desire something a bit more hearty come breakfast time. We recommend the Frothy Monkey. Known around some circle’s at Taylor Swift’s favorite brunch spot in Nashville, this charming eatery boasts plates of chicken and waffles and yogurt parfaits. If you’re looking to start your day the boozy way, be sure to imbibe in their classically delicious mimosas and bloody marys!
Do the Brew
No Nashville trip would be complete without at least sampling some of their local craft beers. Over at Little Harpeth Brewery, you can take a tour to see how the suds are made, and then indulge a little with pints of your own. That is, if you’re of age! On a budget? Here’s a Groupon!
Museums and Music
Whether you’re filled from breakfast or filled from brew, walk it off around one of Nashville’s famed music museums. You can enjoy learning about the lives of your favorite musicians at The Johnny Cash Museum or The Patsy Cline Museum, or you can take in all of the greats at The Country Music Hall of Fame. Pro top: If you opt for the latter, stop by Hatch Show Print and pick up a vintage poster from a historical concert.
Heat Things Up
Every Nashvillian can tell you that if you’re in town, there’s no skipping over Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. Ranging from Southern (no heat) to Shut the Cluck Up (burn notice), test the limits of your tastebuds with the unofficial food of the city, hot chicken. The true charm of Hattie B’s can be found in their sweet tea and side dishes, brimming with southern comfort. Tired from the morning?
